Disco & Boogie Beading

GLAMOROUS HAND-BEADED JEWELLERY INSPIRED BY DISCO AND MODERNISM

Fabienne Morel’s eye-catching hand-beaded bracelets, earrings and necklaces have garnered a ton of press over the past year or so, featuring in style magazines and blogs worldwide, from AnOther and Stella magazines to Grazia. With influences as far-reaching as the colourful abstract forms of artists Frank Stella and Ettore Sottsass, the 1980s figurative illustrations of Patrick Nagels (best-known for designing Duran Duran’s Rio album cover), disco music, and African tribal design, the jewellery is both edgy and glamorous.

This collection – Disco and Boogie Beading – incorporates soft colours and a more sparkly, sophisticated aesthetic than previous collections. Musical influences such as disco, boogie, and electro continue to be represented in visual form in the pieces, to create a jewellery range that’s a celebration of abstract art, dancing and 1980s fashion. Pastel shades, geometric patterns and asymmetrical shapes define the high-energy designs.

Created from a spirit of love and passion, Fabienne Morel is an inclusive brand designed for everyone interested in contemporary popular culture, while at the same time avoiding any association with mass-market methods of production. The jewellery is made with Rocailles beads, and every item is unique in pattern, being intricately crafted by hand – a time-consuming process that’s reflected in the high-quality feel.
